What’s your favourite London venue?
I like The Union Chapel. I think it’s got really good acoustics and I love the grandeur of the place. I like the way you feel like you’re really high up if you sit at the back. It has a real feel of character and history and a great atmosphere too.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever seen?
It was probably The Cinematic Orchestra at The Warwick Arts Centre. It was absolutely spellbinding and hypnotic and it made you tap your feet. An amazing performance.
What was the worst concert you’ve ever seen?
Probably The Cure at Wembley Arena. The venue was too big, and the sound was terrible. It felt like you couldn’t see or hear anything. The queue at the bar was massive too.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
I went to see Another Level in Zenith at the Park Royal Complex. It’s a complex with bowling alleys and a Pizza Hut and Zenith is the nightclub there. I was thirteen. It was amazing!
What was the last gig you ever went to?
I saw Babe Shadow at The Lock Tavern last week. I think they were quite good, but I was really drunk and don’t really remember.
Which band from throughout history would you have liked to have seen?
Nirvana or Guns N’ Roses. Both of them made wicked music and I never got to see them.
