Despite remaining unsigned, Southampton four piece, The Rebs, have already supported the likes of The Enemy, Tiny Dancers and Five O’Clock Heroes; as well as opening the V Festival as a result of winning the Virgin Road To V Competition for which they were picked ahead of 2,500 bands by top industry judges such as Dirty Pretty Things’ Carl Barat and NME’s Marc Beaumont [Who? - Ed].
Having already gained a reputation for their captivating live show, The Rebs brand of straight-up, catchy indie pop is getting them noticed in all the right places and we reckon it’s only a matter of time before these boys land a major deal. The last few months have seen the band writing and recording an album of brand new material, and we’re told that gig offers have been flooding in from as far a field as Berlin.
