Anita Maj has been writing songs since her early teens. Inspired by early legends of rock and blues such as Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, as well as the more modern likes of Kings of Leon and White Lies, today her music exists as chart friendly pop with a distinctive rock edge.
The London based, northern born, artist blends rock, pop and punk in a way that’s reminiscent of Avril Lavigne – though it looks like Maj can actually play her guitar – and while you can imagine her having chart success, there’s enough musical depth here to ensure credibility on the London live scene. And we hear she plays with a pretty rockin’ backing band too!
