The trio say they got together as a random musical experiment in Godrich's studio at The Hospital, Covent Garden and two weeks later had put together a ‘Pin-Ups’ style covers collection of sometheir favourite songs, from the likes of Syd Barrett and The Sex Pistols to Beastie Boys and Gang Of Four. The trio will releasing their first single in September with an album to follow early next year, and theres a London gig planned for 26 August 26 at Shoreditch’s The Old Blue Last.

Gaz told ltd: “It was a little bit off the cuff. We just played a few covers and then we were like, ‘Yeah, this'll be a great idea. Lets go and do all these classics. Everybody come down and have a party’.

“We had four or five songs ready to go so we just bashed them out, but from then on it was like, wake up in the morning, pick a song and then work on it.”

And don't worry Supergrass fans, there's an album on the way too.
