There was a who’s who of hip-hop talent opening for Wu-Tang soldier Raekwon - Jehst, Micall Parknsun, the Last Skeptik, Sarah Love and the astounding Lowkey.
Rae knew exactly what the crowd had come to hear: a nice mix of old hits and some material from the most anticipated acronym in rap, OB4CL2 (Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2, the anticipated sequel to one of the better Wu solo albums, and which is sounding dope).
But a 3.30AM start? Even for the Wu, that’s taking the piss. And with this many artists on the bill, the least Matter could have done was not start proceedings at midnight.
We’ll forgive them though.
