And with songs like ‘Stars In The Water’, described by Janice Long as ‘absolutely beautiful’, that’s a fair assumption.
But give a concerted listen to the strength of her voice, the often dark subject matter and a distinct flavour of pop, and you have a talent that is, dare we say it, multi-layered.
Her debut album Eggbox came out late last year to be applauded by people like Steve Lamacq, while we reviewed it as a ‘heartfelt record’ and noted its ‘post-romantic stress disorder’.
