Try Before You Buy - The Fins
'indie white boys'

by Tourdates Staff Writer, first published in LondonTourdates #032 ,3rd October 2008

Yet another bunch of indie white boys from the home-counties, The Fins are undoubtedly a success story. After forming in 2005 ‘over a pint in a pub’, this quintet have managed over 100 gigs across the country, have somewhat strangely toured in Egypt and have releases three EPs. Then there’s the clout they’ve earned themselves from touring with The Rifles and being on the same bill as Reverend and the Makers, Futureheads and Alphabeat.

2008 has been a bit of a watershed year for The Fins, as they have laid down eight new tracks and will release new single ‘Adaptor’ on 6 October on the Numerical Blue label, which they will promote with a UK tour in the same month. The music itself touts itself as melodic rock that is ‘joyous’.
