Shoreditch’s inaugural Concrete and Glass festival takes place on 2/3 October 2008, and promises a huge line-up as strange as it is eclectic.

Curated by promoters Eat Your Own Ears, Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy, Huw Stephens and Time Out, among many others, the event will be held across 18 venues in East London. Stand-outs on the Thursday include Frightened Rabbit, Bodies of Water, Cats In Paris, Kid Harpoon, O’Death and flying the flag for contemporary classical, Ludovico Einaudi.
Friday features Port O’Brien, Micachu, Screaming Tea Party, Truckers of Husk (pictured), Euros Childs and TV On The Radio. There is also an art fair, film installations and photography exhibitions. For ticket information and full line-up go to www.concreteandglass.co.uk.
