Evergreen urban folk auteur Ani Difranco has announced details of her 17th studio album, and a short European tour to go alongside it.

Red Letter Year comes out in Europe on 13 October 2008 on her own label, Righteous Babe. She plays just the one UK date this autumn, at Kentish Town Forum on 29 October. Support comes from fellow Righteous Babe artists Hammell On Trial and Anais Mitchell.
Red Letter Year is said to be one of her ‘most joyous’ records so far, partly due to the arrival of her new daughter.
