What’s your favourite London music venue?
Royal Albert Hall. So big and grand, and such history.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever seen?
That would have to be Belle and Sebastian in Rome. I met some Glaswegians on the bus on the way there and they knew the band so I got to meet them afterwards. The gig was great. The Rapture opened for them and they were awesome, too.
What was the worst gig you’ve ever seen?
Cowboy Junkies for free in Central Park. It completely put me off them. Forever. Which is sad.
What was the last gig you went to?
Liam Finn. My friend and I got right up front and Mr. Finn almost kicked me in the face.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
It was a one-day music festival, the ‘DRE Fest’, in Camden, New Jersey, back when the Spin Doctors were losing popularity as ‘Two Princes’ had been overplayed for several years. No Doubt were up and coming, 311 were the highlight and we had to get home before The Toadies because of our parent-imposed curfew.
Which band from throughout history would you have liked to see?
Would have to be Queen. Because Freddie Mercury is the number one man from throughout history who can pull off a moustache.
