What are the five albums that have most influence you?
Songs From a Room – Leonard Cohen, Greatest Hits Volume 2 – Hank Williams, Mutations – Beck, Aupres de Mon Abre - Georges Brassens, Tonight’s The Night – Neil Young.
What’s the best concert you have ever been to?
Jonathan Richman, North 6 in Brooklyn, summer of 2005. Best show ever.
If you could have been a musician in any era when would it be?
I would be Louis Armstrong, because he’s the best ever.
What’s the best gig you have ever performed?
The best gig I ever played was at La Cigale opening for Herman Dune in 2006, because I felt like Bob in the Albert Hall in Don’t Look Back.
Is there any particular venue you would like to play?
It would be Madison Square Garden, because I could take the train home after the show.
What books have you read and films have you seen recently?
I just finished Bruce Catton’s History of the Civil War. A movie I particularly liked last year was The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
