Disco-punk electronica from DFA Records’ James Murphy. After gaining attention with first single Losing My Edge in 2002, Murphy’s LCD Soundsystem have gone on to critical acclaim, receiving two Grammy nominations, shed-loads of media praise and worldwide tours. Described by Q Magazine as ‘a brilliant collision of acid house beats and ‘punk-funk’ basslines’. Murphy later released a double album simply titled LCD Soundsystem in February of 2005. The first disk of the album contains new music and the second contains rereleases of songs previously released as singles. The opening track "Daft Punk Is Playing At My House" quickly gained popularity and entered the UK Top 40 in March 2005 and was later featured on several video game soundtracks like SSX on Tour and FIFA 06.
