Lamb of God are one of the most versatile and renowned metal bands currently working in the world. Formed as Burn The Priest in 2006, they were originally an instrumental band, but when vocalist Randy Blythe joined the fray it completed the line-up today the band plays a mix of thrash metal, death metal, sludge metal, grindcore and hardcore. They have released six studio albums that have showcased these sounds, namely ‘Burn The Priest’ (1999), ‘New American Gospel’ 2000, ‘As the Palaces Burn’ (2003), ‘Ashes of the Wake’ (2004), ‘Sacrament’ (2006) and ‘Wrath’ (2009). The band’s line-up has remained fairly consistent since they formed, with guitarist Willie Adler being the only non-founding member in the five-piece apart from Blythe.
