KunK influences

Comments
say something, go on, you know you want to..
KunK
"KunK are an Alternative Rock four-piece drawing influences from a wide range of Alternative, Rock and Indie bands ranging from Queens Of The Stone Age to Pavement, The Fall to the Foo Fighters."
Having been compared to whatever noise it is that angry dinosaurs make, Norwich Alt-Rock band KunK make sounds that have been known to stop wild boar in their quest for flesh. Creating a sound that is "somewhere between the demented growl of Mclusky & the early Britrock might of 3 Colours Red" (Subba-Cultcha.com), KunK put on a live show that excites, tantalises and scares the crowd in equal measure. Their high energy gigs and fast growing reputation have earned them support slots with The Subways, Nine Black Alps, The Airborne Toxic Event, Baddies, and Electric Eel Shock amongst others.

KunK self-released their debut single “We’re Not Who You Think We Are” in May 2008, picking up regular airplay in the UK, US and beyond, with XFM's John Kennedy calling it “one of the finest releases of the year!”. Their follow up single 'No Way/Game Over' picked up where the bands debut left off with BBC Introducing's Huw Stephens and 6Music's Tom Robinson both championing the band, and more interest and radio play in the US leading to a number of KunK songs being used in MTV shows The Real World, Bad Girls Club and Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

2010 looks set to be a big year for KunK, with a split-single planned for release on R*E*P*E*A*T Records, and a UK tour and album to follow in June.

ch-ch-ch-ch-changes First things first, i'm sad to say that Hannah has decided to leave the band. Work commitments and band commitments have been getting in the way of each other and it's been making life difficult for Hannah, something had to give. Although we're sad to see her go, we understand and  read the full post here >>
