The Killers have, since their first forays to the UK at the tail-end of 2003, been building up a gloriously exciteable fanbase both on the streets and in media-world. "Somebody Told Me" is Zane Lowe's Radio 1 Record of the Week eight weeks prior to release, and we've already witnessed girls crying while the boys look on awestruck at their gigs. The band have drawn comparisons with the likes of Psychedelic Furs, Ziggy-era Bowie, Blondie, Duran Duran, Interpol and The Smiths.
