"Pop rock without the Gee-tars!"

Hailing from the small town of Battle these three lads grew up together. They ditched their guitarist and a new sound emerged after a recording session in France. Eventually Fierce Panda took a chance on the trio and released a record. Bigger labels became interested and in 2004 their debut album Hopes & Fears was released and sold over 5 million copies worldwide.Their new album 'Under The Iron Sea' was recorded at The Magic Shop in Soho, New York, and back at Helioscentric Studios, near Battle. The band came close to splitting up in the process but have survived and will release the record and embark on a coinciding tour this year.

Keane drummer in death row visit A member of indie favourites Keane will visit an inmate on death row in the US, it has been revealed.

Richard Hughes, the band's drummer, is to travel to Georgia as part of a campaign to tackle a perceived miscarriage of justice.
