What can be said about Johnny Cash? He has sold almost 100 million albums worldwide, written some of the best known songs of all time and revolutionised the country genre. 'Walk The Line', 'Ring of Fire' and 'Folsom Prison Blues' will go down in history as some of the finest songs ever written, and cement Cash with a place in rock and roll history. Born in 1932, Cash got his break when 'Hey Porter' and 'Cry Cry Cry' were given radio airplay in 1954 and from there he went on to make many albums and enjoy success as one of the most celebrated musicians in the world. Cash was well known for performing gigs in prisons and perhaps his greatest moment came in 1968 when he recorded the 'Live at Folsom Prison' album, which is still sold today. He was an active artist up until his untimely death in September 2003. Picture from xero79.
