Joe is based in Washington in the North-East of England and has been making appearances in local venues for the past 6 years either as a solo performer or as a unit of a band, but in the past year Joe has found comfort with his acoustic guitar, and with his influences having no boundaries this in turn has seen Joe create a style which is both unique and inspiring. Joe has recently recorded a demo consisting of 3 of his most popular songs, and he has intentions of distributing this as far as he can reach, and to as many people as possible in the hope that he will reach individuals who feel they can relate to the music of Joes creation. At the age of 9 Joe was residing in Aysham, Norfolk and on Christmas day in 1998 he received his first guitar, this was a present from his older brother and since the receipt of this gift Joe has never looked back. Aged 11 Joe took up the position of singer/guitarist in his first band with two friends and he spent many of his days throwing together covers from all his favourite bands and relishing in joy of creating music, this is where it all began in the way of performance.A few years later Joe moved to the North-East to the town of Washington in Sunderland and shortly after his arrival he formed a band again taking on the lead role of singer/guitarist with two close friends and called themselves RED PiLL, they played many local venues and have even been known to raise money for charity through the execution of two successful rock nights. One day feeling daring whilst at a small scale local festival (U-Fest) Joe and his close friend Ben (Bass guitar, RED PiLL) took to the stage to try their luck at a ‘Talent Competition’ and to their surprise whilst one man down they won 1st prize.After years of playing about in bands and jamming, Joe found comfort with his acoustic guitar, discovering the raw beauty of the instrument paired with his voice, he found his writing style taking a massive change revealing his most emotional and beautiful creations. His passion for live performance is visible with every song he plays and has been described by listeners as “Giving it his all…” So with his passion and his drive Joe is intent on taking his guitar in his hand and showing all those around his unique and inspirational style simply to fuel his own pleasure of performing and recording.
