Over & Out
Hayze
""Infectious melodies and crunching Guitars" - Rhythm and Booze Magazine"
Ipswich based band Hayze have been together since 2001. Over that time, as well as the comings and goings of different members, they have galvanised their sound and live show to become a "balls to the wall rock 'n' roll band" (Pete Maher, Topfloor Music). Taking influences from a wide range of acts such as AC/DC, Oasis, The Who and Kings of Leon the band have received vast amounts of critical acclaim across fanzines, websites, radio and from live promoters as well as continuing to win over fans from their large number of gigs up and down the country. Their tireless touring has seen them carry out 2 UK tours (taking in gigs in Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge, Norwich, Bath, Colchester, Mansfield, Liverpool, Bradford and Nottingham) as well as regular visits to the capital playing at The Barfly, The Garage, The Purple Turtle, Bullet Bar and Betsy Trotwood to name but a few.

As well as touring the band regularly record and since their inception have released 1 album, 4 EPs and two singles all on their own record label and all available from iTunes and other major download sites.

The band, whose line-up is Pete Thompson (29, vox/guitar), Powers (28, guitar), Jim Newstead (37, drums) and Andrew Beresford (28, bass) have supported some popular acts which include The Stranglers, The Seers (Bonehead from Oasis' new band), Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), Dogs Die in Hot Cars and Greg Griffin (lead singer from Proud Mary) as well as working with some influential industry people including Nick Brine (engineer on Oasis’ Be Here Now and Morning Glory albums as well as engineering on Stone Roses, Teenage Fanclub and Ash Albums) and Pete Maher ( Coldplay, Razorlight and The Buzzcocks). Recording at top class studios such as Leeders Farm, a residential studio owned by Dan Hawkins (The Darkness) has also helped them establish a powerful sound on record too.

No strangers to self promotion, the band have built up an impressive mailing list and have very active myspace and facebook account which is continuing to introduce new fans to the band’s music. With their songs available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Napster, emusic, Rhapsody and CD Unsigned it's also easy to get hold of their music too.
