Gunner Sgt is the brainchild of Dan Osborne, the talented former guitarist of Kobrakai and The Symphony Cult. Whilst bringing together some of the best musicianship that the UK has to offer, Gunner Sgt promises to fill a gap that has been empty in the Alternative Rock scene for far too long.
A powerful three piece, the band's sound is derived from a colourful mix of influences from Tori Amos and Kate Bush to Tool and Nirvana. The band are instantly recognisable by their cutting guitar work and grand sounding songs that are even more prominent on the live stage.
The band have a strong fan base and Street Team. This has allowed the band to successfully play and fill popular venues such as The Purple Turtle in Camden and The Tunbridge Wells Forum. The band's MySpace also receive several hundred hits daily!
Gunner Sgt have been compared to the likes of Silverchair and Incubus. The darker elements of their music leave some reviewers describing Gunner Sgt as; ‘Music for people who crave a little bit more out of life’.
