Four office based, white collar workers from the south coast of England is hardly the typical recipe for a punk band. These guys are only working to live, but they live to play their music. Throw into the mix a spoonful of humor, a generous dollop of energy, a pinch of madness, and a big, fat slice of talent and you’re somewhere near to Get Your Ass To Mars.
Formed in early 2008 from the ashes of two of Southampton’s most established pop punk acts, Get Your Ass To Mars have taken their fast paced, melodic set of high energy pop punk tunes and hit the ground running. This awesome foursome never fail to set the stage alight as they blast their way through a repertoire of catchy songs and anthemic choruses.
In 2009 Get Your Ass To Mars launched their debut record, Twists and Turns [EP], to a sell out crowd at Southampton’s renowned Joiners Arms. Copies of the EP were snapped up in a frenzy and sold out on the night, prompting masses of sales on iTunes in the week that followed.
Get Your Ass To Mars are now booking shows in your town to spread the word and sound that has taken the south coast by storm. Get Your Ass To Mars are ready to take on the World and the World is ready for them. It just doesn’t know it yet……
