Indie pop with film references and decent sensitivity?
Nice to hear, for a change.

Everybody Be Cool
"Powerpop-Indie with loads of harmonies"
Everybody Be Cool formed in 2008 by guitar and bass playing brothers Adam & Tom and drummer Marcus. They have created an original sound influenced by Bloc Party and Kings of Leon with the pop sensibilities of Wombats and The Feeling. Their live show is energetic and exciting whilst performing their set of tight, catchy, original songs characterised by strong vocal harmonies and upbeat anthemic choruses.

Everybody Be Cool recently appeared at the Sellindge Music Festival in Kent and have been booked to play at the Fahrenheit Music and Arts festival in Cambridgeshire in August. Everybody Be Cool have featured on the ‘Substock’ show on Hit Music Radio and their songs "The Weekend" and "Birthday Candles" have both been charted in the top 20 on Somojo.net internet radio. The boys also have a chance to make the London finals of the Surface Unsigned Festival having gained a place in one of the second-round shows.

In 2008 Radio 1’s Jo Whiley compared EBC's sound to The Futureheads when they played in the same wild-card auditions as the eventual winner, Tommy Reilly, in the Orange Unsigned Act competition. Since then, exciting new material has amassed and a debut EP produced by Wayne Proctor is due for release at the end of the Summer – watch this space…

best industry quotes

  1. "Perfect song structures. Couldn’t fault their performance." Andy Ross, Food Records
  2. "Indie-pop done with class. Forget jangly guitars and out of tune vocals that swamp the airwaves, these boys are clearly talented muscians with water-tight harmonies and tunes that remind you of relaxed summer days" Alli Hodge, FeedMe Music Promotions
  3. "A 3 part puzzle that uses a fantastic harmony with powerful/driving guitar parts. The vocals are lullabies to paralyse, with all 3 members singing the overall effect is more like that of a choir, but they are certainly no choir, or at least not that angelic. They are striking, co-ordinated, they are all the adjectives you can possibly think of to describe something more than a sound. My God, these could be the last days of our lives and we would never know peace without embracing Everybody Be Cool. A little over the top perhaps, but life is often stranger than fiction." David Couchman, Surface Unsigned Festival
