Emma K Spence is a talented and beautiful singer songwriter who composes and produces her music on the piano. Her sensuously soulful voice delivers her gift for rendering a story into song, telling of the wavering temperament of love.
Her music, a mix of raunchy Blues and sensual Soul reminiscent of the Soulful flair of Etta James, the emotional content of Tracy Chapman and the smoothness of Nina Simone into a melodic and passionate richness that will effortlessly shift your senses.
Using her classical piano training Emma spent countless hours at the piano,writing, arranging her own songs and singing.
Her musical influences comprise of her parents record collection of Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Folk and 60s and 70s Motown R&B; the hits of David Bowie, Elton John, Kate Bush, The Eurythmics, Massive Attack and Soul2Soul to name but a few.
Emma’s first demo - electronic and live piano - self written, arranged and
produced on her home studio in London led to a show case in New York,
where she sang and played some of her acoustic based songs on the Steinway grand piano at Blue Note Records.
The experience in the US demonstrated Emma’s versatility and her
marketability as an international artist.
With a steady on going stream of London based Gigs, Emma’s fan base continues to grow and her musical style continues to evolve and refine itself.
