The Journey so far!

Embers Fire are a 4 piece Rock band based in Northamptonshire.
They were formed in the summer of 2005 by Marc Powell (Drums) and Lee Brueton (Bass) who were previous members of a band called Violet Skies which ended in late 2004.
Tim Winstone (Lead vocals / Rhythm guitar) & Harry ‘Jukebox’ Mitten (Lead guitar) joined later to complete the 4 strong line up.
Embers fire combines melodic verses with heavy chorus rifts and an underlying dark undertone, bringing together a unique and appealing sound. The unique sound is a direct result of the bands wide array of influences, such as The Chilli Peppers, Metallica, Snow Patrol, Lost Prophets, Damien Rice, Therapy, Paradise Lost, Nirvana, to name a few.
We think we offer something different to an already crowded music scene.
Our first 3 track demo was recorded in May 2006 followed by a series of gigs around Northamptonshire including ‘Bedford Esquires’ and ‘The Soundhaus’. An appearance at a summer festival and subsequent gigs completed 2006.
2007 has been a very busy and successful year for Embers Fire with “Crushed by the Weight”, as featured in motorm4x, being picked out by Kerrang Radio and subsequently winning the ‘Demo Clinic’ competition beating 3 other bands in August 2007.
Embers Fire completed the recording of an 11 track live session courtesy of Kerrang and a studio re-recording of “Crushed By The Weight” is due airplay on the Kerrang Unsigned show once completed.
Embers Fire recently won the ‘Battle Of The Bands 2007’ competition on the popular Bands Unsigned website (www.bandsunsigned.co.uk) beating off stiff competition over 8 weeks of voting.
The year was capped off with winning the ‘Overplay’ competition with “Crushed by the Weight” and “So Unforgiving” being featured in the motorm4x Pc game.
Hard work, determination, desire and raw talent will hopefully see Embers Fire reach their goal of becoming a serious signed rock band in the very near future.
