Elizabeth was trained to sing THE POPS initially by Diana Evans; Dame Joan Hammond at the Australian Conservatorium of Music ; and later her profile was restyled by Eileen Dunn and Billy Maher (vocal teachers/restylers) at the famous Johnny Morris, Australian Academy of Music.
She worked with the Billy Maher Trio initially; then the Rolly Lang Quartet; the Bob Ware Quintet and then the Brian King BIG BAND where later on she met and married her reknown, accomplished and famed BIG BAND leader husband, Teddy,(deceased 2008), who had his own unique sound with the CLOUDLAND BALLROOM BIG BAND (Australia). Later she worked with him vocally, backing world reknown artists with the ABC BIG BAND.
In 1993, she became a Doctor of Education (Ed.D., Ph.D. distinction) after making an outstanding contribution to innovation and change in Further and Higher Education Reforms, in her primary career. When life threatening illness took away her ability to work in the educational sphere, Elizabeth once more turned to what had been her parallel career, - singing...but this time in convalescence, she began to lyricize, compose and record. In 1999-2003 she became the first vocalist with the newly formed South London Jazz Orchestra. TOY FOR FRED is her first single and is available, with others, on iTunes.
