DreamCapture
"It varies with how the song or who has written the song. Luckily we have two main songwriters in Evette and Pete who write all the songs. Our influences range from Fleetwood Mac, Journey, The Cure. Sometimes rocky, sometimes more folk rock, but always trying to be different and making the feel of the song match the lyrics."
DreamCapture have been compared to the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Pop/Rock and Folk/Rock genres. They are from Aylesbury in Bucks and been together for 5 years. “Their Anglo-American soft rock, led by powerful female vocals from this positive and uplifting band” The Horn, St. Albans. DreamCapture signed to London based Halo records after submitting their demo in 2006. They have just finished recording their new album and single for release early 2008. The video for TV and internet is to be shot within the next few weeks, followed by a full nationwide promotion. They have played gigs in Nashville Tennessee and the Cavern Club Liverpool, as well as looking to lift their profile by playing the UK and European festival circuit this year. DreamCapture consist of the writing partnership of Evette Judge (Guitar and vocals) and Pete Lawrence (Drum and backing vocals). They met whist Pete was serving in the R.A.F Regiment as an instructor at R.A.F Halton. Evette was working as a Civil Servant at the Regional Medical Centre. The pair played their gigs in support of the servicemen and women around the world, raising money for charities, or just entertaining the troops at far off places like Ascension Island. Whilst performing they were also writing their own material, hoping to eventually record it. This opportunity arose early 2005 with their first album entitled “Blue Sun”. Songs from the Blue Sun album have been placed on international music sites such as the Independent Artist Company with “Say What You Want” reaching number 1 out of 30000 songs having been played 17457 times in 3 days and “All Because Of You” still at number 10 in the Easy Listening chart after 18 months! To date their songs have been played over 176000 times on this site alone! The recent addition to the line up has been Paul Taylor (Bass, keyboards and backing vocals) who also hails from Aylesbury. They spotted Paul at a local open mic night and found his style similar to that of the original Bass player James Tenniswood, who unfortunately had to leave the band because of R.A.F commitments. He was invited to join and now completes the trio.
