In reality there were just three "Dreamies" as the press would lovingly call them. "K" - Lead Guitar, Phil Hammond - Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar & Andy "Gads" Gadsby - Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals. These three young "muso's" forged ahead with their own brand of twisted Indie/Metal sickness.
Then, it was all over. As quickly as it had begun, the Dream that was the Spiders was over. Why? Some people say that the world wasn't ready for them. Others state that the Spiders weren't ready for the world and there are others who say in hushed tones that the world is now a safer place since their "disappearance".
One thing is true, such a sudden departure from the music scene by one of it's more enigmatic players has only helped fan the fires of mystique that always followed the band with it's "cloak of mystery", as one Fleet Street hack put it.
The Songs you'll find here and also on MYSPACE are;
"Somehow" The worlds most beautiful love song. Or is it? This is a tale of disatisfaction with both life and love.
"Hollywood Dreaming" - A sneak preview into "K"'s sick, sick, depraved world.
"Dream Spiders" A child's bedtime song. Don't mess with the Dream Spiders....or they'll climb the stairs and GET YOU!!!
A fourth track was recorded but never unleashed onto an unsuspecting public. This was "F.A.D." - work out the title kiddies and win a prize!
These tracks were recorded in the winter of 2004 when "K" and Phil threatened to start it all over again. The release of their debut single "Somehow" gained local radio airplay and national press coverage.
...............and then, on 17 May 2008, the Dream Spiders managed positions 9, 22 and 23 in the Tourdates download top 40!!! Now, that's scarey!
Sweet Dreams little Spiders.......sweet Dreams!
