Dave Jacobs was born in 'The Sunshine State', Queensland, Australia into a musical family. From his earliest memories, his home was filled with the sounds of jazz, played on his Mum& Dad's record player, or just jamming around the family piano. This early grounding in jazz has carried through in his singing & songwriting and is a big influence on his musical style. He then discovered the blues, when he was given his first record "Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble"...which ignited a passion for seeking out new styles & sounds. Having enjoyed playing and jamming with friends and family for years, Dave discovered a passion for songwriting a few years ago. His music can best be described as laid back accoustic rock with undertones of jazz & blues. His songs are a dramatic, emotional and sensitive account of his lifes experiences, inspired and influenced by the people in his life and his surroundings
