DASTARDS!
"Pop-Goth rockers - with distinctive vox"
Fed up with the same old same old? We'll here's something different - something original. DASTARDS!

Midlands & Bristol based DASTARDS formed in 2005 and have WAKE (22), on vocals, guitar and strange plastic megaphone voice distorter thing. He writes the songs, records them and sings them live with his weird 'helium' vocal that people either love or hate.

Drawing from an eclectic set of influences – Dylan through to Muse - DASTARDS have compiled an unusually large and varied set for a young band Not surprising when you consider that Wake got his first guitar aged 4 and 18 years later, if he’s not playing the guitar - he’s thinking about playing the guitar.

DASTARDS are WAKE (guitar & vocals), JUST JAKE (bass & backing vocals), GUITAR GEORGE (lead guitar), and new boy MUDIE on drums

"Ah, good, rocking at speed through some kind of fuzz-drenched blues swamp. Its rough, its ready, it rocks and if you want anything else from Lynrd Skynrd on toad-lick, you want too much"

"Up to its skinny English knees in Americana, quaver vox, churning guitars, its got the full set and talking of guitars, which, face it, we were bound to at some stage, The Dastards have an impressive armoury. Listen up, listen here" - Unpeeled

"Awesome" - Kerrang Radio

"Indie Genius" - Slice The Pie

1st single ('WHAT I CAME FOR') was released on 18th March 2007. Second single ('FLASHLIGHTS') released 21st October 2007. 3rd single ('STAYING OUT') was released on Feb 15th 2009. All on Stretch Records - DASTARDS own label.

TAKE A LEFT came out on July 20th 2009 - the day after DASTARDS supported SQUEEZE at the CHAGSTOCK Festival - playing to over 3,500 people!

DASTARDS have always received huge critical acclaim - but also manage to stay under the radar allowing the band to grow and develop without outside influence.
