Mark had had a lot of time to think by January 2009. He finally decided he had had enough of playing in the bedroom and watching his beloved guitars gather dust. After taking stock of his equipment and contemplating the position. Mark sold his beloved 1969 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe and went shopping!
About this time internet advertising was undertaken to form the project ‘Dark Victory’. A few members were appointed. However, due to musical differences some members soon departed and went on to form the band ‘Shattered Karma’.
Determined, Mark undertook more internet advertising and met up with Phil and Si. The three members decided on a joint project of original material including music from both Mark and Phil.
Further internet advertising was undertaken for the vacant positions and a series of auditions to standard rock and metal songs was undertaken in Nottingham.
After a frankly ‘mind-blowing’ audition by John he was asked and agreed to join. At the same audition, Ollie was also asked if he wanted to join the band after playing some stunning drums.
The band was thus formed fully formed in August 2009 and started to seek bookings, to write and record a suitable release and commenced rehearsal.
