Edge Avenue are proud to announce that..... Dane is back!
Dane Guiden rose to fame as a member of Dublin boy band “D-Side”, who launched an attack on the charts throughout the earlier part of this decade amassing numerous top ten singles. However, feeling constrained by a boy band environment, and wanting to take his music in a new direction eventually culminated in Dane breaking from the band in 2005.
Since then he has been finding both himself and his sound. “I knew I had to push myself in terms of my sound,” says Dane. “To be a male solo artist you need to stand head and shoulders above the rest and leave your audience both stunned and satisfied!”
Carving a fresh new pop sound (straight from the Edge Avenue productions studios) Dane is determined that 2009 will be his year. Tracks like “Beggin Me” with its electro/rock feel and “Keep it on” with its solid dance hook, have been wowing reviewers. The album, written and produced by the Edge Avenue team (Jay Raser, Darren Monson, James Curry and the legendary Pete 'Mix Master' Hammond) is now close to finishing and is set to explode into the charts very soon. Dane is more than excited:
“I’m so pleased with how it has come together. I really think that it might shock a couple of people,” he says with a wry smile. “But good music is still good music, and I know my old fans will like the new directions that we have been heading in”
With his first single to be released soon and the album following towards the end of the year, Dane is currently embarking on a series of gigs that should definitely not be missed!!
“Its been too long coming, but it feels so good to be here . . . . Dane is definitely back!”
