Cheesy gareth first came into the folk scene in the late 70s, in the shadow of his father Gib Teasdale, who is still a stalwart of the South Wales folk scene, primarily as a singer songwriter, he has a huge folk song and folktune repetoir, he has been guitarists with a few good bands, expecially The Smirkins where he often got great bookings for the band and played on the bill at Saul, Moseley, Three rivers folk festival, and many more, plus lots of other great pub gigs, supporting some great acts along the way, he was also in the past part of the Glastonbury folk community, playing in the 90s folk band Nomad, a 13 stronge benefit band for friends and family of travellers, ran the assembly rooms of Glastonburys folk club and booked in folk artists on a monthly basis and organised lots of fringe events, He is still a popular artist on his infrequent stops in the west country town, he is also a welcome guest on the stages of the green fields where he works as a volunteer at Glastonbury festival for nearly 2 decades, he also used to sing in the legendary Avalonian free state choir,
He loves festivals and can often be found in the early hour of the morning playing guitar around the dying embers of a fire jamming with whichever musicians he can find, for Cheesy this is the music he loves best
