Charlotte Hatherley (born Charlotte Franklin Hatherley, 20 June 1979, London) is an English singer and guitarist. She was brought up in West London and attended Chiswick Community School. She is perhaps most known as the guitarist for Ash, She has found success as a solo artist since the split.Hatherley often names Kate Bush, Pixies, XTC, and David Bowie as her influences.Her ex-boyfriend is the film director Edgar Wright, who is best known for Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. He has directed videos for two of her songs: "Summer" and "Bastardo".
