Cancer Bats formed in 2004 and have since released two albums - 'Birthing The Giant' (2006) and 'Hail Destroyer' (2008) - both on Distort Entertainment. Liam Cormier (lead vocals), Taylor Middleton (guitar), Mike Peters (drums) and Jaye R. Schwarzer (bass) make up the bands current line up, though Cournier and Middleton are the only founding members still with the band. They have received great support from Kerrang magazine who put the band on the cover in 2008 and also gave their album 'Hail Destroyer' the maximum possible mark. Cancer Bats music is a mixture of punk, hardcore, sludge, metal and psychedelic rock.
