Great to see Pete and the new, 3 piece line-up, at the Albion in Penarth. Slicker than ever and nice to see Pete using his Telecaster again. We are now looking forward to seeing our other favourite trios, the Ned Edwards' Band and Junior Hacksaw, at the Albion, to complete a "Blues at Penarth" April.

Hi Andy Bloo hoos old Brown Eyes here. You have obviously missed the irony of my comments and not bothered to read the full article. The article had over 1200 hits with not all, but most agreeing with me. You really are a fine example of how Tour Dates is being abused and ruined. Look at your position in the charts. How can it be that you have thousands of hits less than bands beneath you ?? Even me with my little brown eyes can work that one out ! If you enter the realm where people are going to judge you don't get indignant when you are caught out.

What is this character talking about? I have seen this band, on several occasions and they are, possibly, the most popular electric blues band, in South Wales. The last time a saw them they packed out he Cafe Jazz, in central Cardiff, and had three encores. I'm afraid Davvo probably doesn't approve of any band with members over 30. Reserve your sour comments for a musical genre you understand!

What can you say? It's cabaret bands like these who take up valuable space on the Tourdates sites. The only thing original about these is the way the rhythem section sounds like a Salavation Army band on acid and the guitarists sound like they have just completed crash course in ' how to play the wrong notes and have no feel'. The less said about the vocals the better. You can read my full review of 'The Blue Rinses'in Junes edition of UK Sounds ..
Blues Central
"Blues, Soul and Funk, both originals and covers"

Blues Central

Since their debut at the 2001 Bishopstock International Blues Festival, Blues Central, fronted by Pete Hughes, are a regular feature of the UK club and festival scene including the Maryport and Burnley Blues Festivals, plus a string of appearances at “The Point” and "Jazz Cafe" venues, in the heart of Cardiff. Peter, formerly guitarist and vocalist with the 1970’s UK cult band, “Good Habit” (RCA Records), and a studio and touring session player says the band’s distinctive style is heavily “Chicago” influenced with just a touch of Freddie King in there somewhere! Lately, the band have been expanding to include original songs and covers of Soul and Funk. Check out the new CD “Down The Road” - link www.myspace.com/welshbluescentral and www.unsigned.com.
Blues Central comprise Peter Hughes Lead Vocals and Guitar; Kirby Stevens Drums and Backing Vocals; Dai Robertson Bass and Backing Vocals.

All of the Band have a wealth of experience from a diverse set of previous employers - From the 'TS Blues Band to college favourites -'Good Habit'.

A good time is guaranteed when Blues Central play.
