black-sookie influences

Comments
say something, go on, you know you want to..
black-sookie
"sinister fairground circus vaudeville swing rock!"
Black-Sookie seamlessly blends many musical styles together to produce a fresh new sound to contemporary rock. Think Ed Wood and Bugsy Malone dancing the charleston in Kazakhstan with the child-catcher from Chitty-chitty-bang-bang and you're almost there. Arranged in Jan '07 and recorded Feb - march '07 at Studio:32, Newry, Northern Ireland, the self-titled debut album was conceived, written, arranged, produced and performed by Black-Sookie, with friends and session musicians brought in for backing vocals and brass. the musics style has been referred to as 'Acid Big-Band' in the US due to continued airplay and numerous podcasts. Now with a live band line-up confirmed, Black-Sookie's mainland debut is imminent, so please keep an eye on the profile and myspace for upcoming dates near you. a music video for 'Banjaxxed' and a live video for 'Livid are posted on the myspace page at www.myspace.com/blacksookie The album is available on itunes, and at gigs. hope to see you soon!
