Bint are a 4 piece pop-punk rock band from South Shields, England. We formed in December 2005 when we were four friends looking for something to do, and after a few line-up changes, we started writing songs and playing in various pubs and clubs and we have played some high profile gigs with the likes of Angelic Upstarts, UK Subs, Crashed Out, GBH, Uproar, Holy Racket and The Fiend.
Bio From 2005 - Origional line up was Daniel Fenwick (Guitar), Sean Benham (Guitar and Vocals), Riece Kidney (Bass) and Andrew Hudson (Drums) - we started learning a few covers and then writing a few songs. We played our first gig at the Cave in South Shields in April 2005 and it went pretty good! In early 2006 Fenwick left, so we drafted in Ryan Ailano (Guitar) and after 2 practices our first gig with him was on June 21st 2006 at the Ampitheatre in South Shields infront of about 300 people, which was pretty cool! Since then we have played a lot of shows with the likes of Midterm Break, Sunday 68, The Mutants, The Fallen Faith Theory and a lot more!
We are currently trying to raise money to re-record the demo songs for "Last Chance Salute" which should be out in 2008!
The Reason Behind The Name! - Too many people ask us so here it is: When we first formed and were practicing at The Cave, we needed a name and at the time Fenwick (rhythm guitarist 2005-2006) was calling everyone a "bint", so we said that for a laugh and it's stuck ever since.
