With a truly diverse list of influences, Beggar Joe embrace a colourful plethora of genres to create their own inimitable style. Think essences of English blues, heavy blue-eyed soul, Dylanesque folk, a slab of full-fat Afrobeat and a twist & shout of funk for good measure. Think of a fist-fight between Billy Bragg and The Meters, being egged on by Seth Lakeman and you’ll start to get the picture....

United by a raw passion for making meaningful music, the boys met during their time at Salford University in the North of England, with each member bringing their own unique skills, personality and passion to the ensemble. After honing their sound and developing their craft over the years, the current line up consists of Jon Kenzie on guitar and vocals, Justin Shearn on keys, Andy Brown on double bass, Rome Mosabbir on percussion and Chris Butler on drums.
