Damon Gough was born in Bolton, before moving to Manchester a few tears ago. Since a kid, he’s always dreamt of enchanting people via his music – just the way he had been enchanted by his hero Bruce Springsteen.Damon used to work at his parents’ printing business and work on developing his songs at the same time. Story has it that one night Mark E. Smith from The Fall mistook Damon and his car for a taxi and asked him for a ride. Damon took up the opportunity to talk to Mark into recording a Badly Drawn Boy song for him. The track ‘Tumbleweed’ was the first of several collaborations for Babdly Drawn Boy who has also contributed to a track called "Nursery Rhyme" to Psyence Fiction, James Lavelle and DJ Shadow's UNKLE album. In the meantime Damon Gough signed with record label XL and released his debut album ‘The Hour of Bewilderbeast’.On stage Damon always tries to establish a unique relation with his audience. He’s already been seen offering roses to attractive girls in the crowd and stopping half way through a song to have the audience taking part in some competition he just thought of.
