Ashley Hicklin was asked to perform at not one, but TWO of London's "City Showcase 2008" Events. This event showcases up-and-coming musical talent and has unearthed the likes of Newton Faulkner, Ray Lamontagne, Bens Brother, David Ford and Amy Winehouse in recent years.

The BBC invited ASHLEY HICKLIN & The Troubadours into the studios to perform a live session with the full band, featuring the Troubadour string-quartet, harp, piano, bass, drums, guitar and vox's. They performed their song 'Home', due for release in the coming months. This short video featured on BBC 1 'Look North' television in early 2008.
