Arrows influences

Arrows
"Fusing searing guitars with razor sharp beats, Arrows have created a unique and breathtaking sound that sets them apart from their contemporaries, and look set to gain them great recognition. Their explosive live performances have rapidly built them a large and loyal following who have enhanced their intense and passionate gigs with an enthusiasm more akin to a rave than a concert. Having recently been lauded by the likes of XFM and Inspiral Carpet’s Clint Boon, 6music’s Steve Lamaq and Peter Hook of New Order, Arrows are determined to get their addictive, frenetic music to a wider audience."
Fusing searing guitars with razor sharp beats, Arrows have created a unique and breathtaking sound that sets them apart from their contemporaries, and look set to gain them great recognition. Formed through a united frustration at the small town mindset they were surrounded by and a love of the sounds of Underworld, Primal Scream, The Verve and UNKLE amongst many other bands, Arrows have developed their music to a point where comparison is futile and now stand alone with a sound that truly belongs to themselves. These six twenty–somethings originally performed under the name Delphian Complex, and won a cult following amongst DJ’s, promoters and crowds alike. Their regular free parties under the banner ‘No Pounds For Sound’, alongside offering their guest list places for their higher profile gigs at venues such as Koko, and even Brixton Academy (supporting New Order at the personal request of lynchpin Peter Hook!) to their regular fans, helped to gain them a large and loyal following. Following work with legendary producer Brian O’Shaunessy (Primal Scream’s Screamadelica), and highly acclaimed self-funded single ‘Jack-Knife’ which achieved praise from the likes of XFM and Inspiral Carpet’s Clint Boon, 6music’s Steve Lamaq and Primal Scream/Stone Roses’ Mani, the band decided that they needed to reach a wider audience, and was the reason to adopt the name of Arrows.
Recently, their new demo “Create.Evade.Inspire.Escape” has won them great praise from all who have heard it and looks set to gain them even greater recognition in the months to come.
