Based around husband and wife duo Win and Regine, the Arcade Fire have been have been impressing with their enthralling live shows since mid 2003. Signed to Merge Records the band consists of 8 members and have released their debut EP and crtically accliamed worldwide album 'Funeral'. The latter put the band on the map when it was released in the US in 2004 and the UK in 2005. Despite being signed to a small independent label the band racked up thousands of sales and many acolades along the way, including best album and best track for 'Rebellion (Lies)' by the likes of MTV2 and NME. Their success continued as they supported U2 on their Vertigo tour and their list of celebrity fans grew including David Bowie and Chris Martin. Plans for their next album are well underway and it is expected to appear on shelves around Macrh 2007.

Arcade Fire 'in the studio' Arcade Fire are working on new material, a member of the group has revealed.

Speaking to the Quietus, strings man Richard Parry admitted that he is in New York to record new Arcade Fire songs in the studio.

However, the musician refused to confirm if the tracks will read the full post here >>
