Heavily dependent on the 1970 synthesizer sounds, Air play a recognisable form of electronic tracks. Originating in France the duo were crtically acclaimed for their now renowned debut album 'Moon Safari'. Psychadelic Rock and Jazz also have their place in creating the sound that is Air, yet this ecletic mix of genres have seen the band well through 5 EP/LP releases. Air's music has also been licensed to major brand names such as Nissan, Levi's, L'Oreal and Orange, showcasing Air's beautiful art to the world. Having not accomplished enough, the band have also collaborated with film director Sophia Copolla, producing tracks for films such as The Virgin Suicides, Lost In Translation and Marie Antoinette. Their latest offering is available from March 2007, entitled Pocket Symphony!
