The Minnesota Fats
"This is what electric guitars and drums are made for!"
The Minnesota Fats start somehow like one of those stories: so you have a Scottish guy, a French guy and an English guy… Although here, take singer/guitarist Ryan Lauder, drummer Cedric Freppel and bassist Sam Higton, and you have one of the most exciting upcoming indie band from the Midlands.Their multicultural background and personality is easily recognisable in their music. They blend their inspirations from various influences, such as the energetic rock from the Who, the folk lyricism of Dylan or a disturbed Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's blues, to name only few.Since their formation in late 2004, the Minnesota Fats have played up and down the UK, delivering loud performances and confirming their status as the band to look out for.The beginning of 2007 saw the release of their debut ep entitled "Whatever happened to Pancho Villa?" and which the band is currently and actively promoting.
