The Kicks are a band that started around the end of summer 2006. Originally a four piece the loss of a member spured the remaining three members on to become bigger and better with the talent the lads had on offer.
With all the band members being around the same age, Macca, Harry and Chris are three mates with a love for the raucous sound of Rock n Roll. Drawing on influences from past and present, they create a sound which is as much about soulful, bouncing rhythms as it is wiry, dirty attitude. Having worked with organisations like XFM, JAM and BBC, they are ready to take the world by force. Over the time the band has been together they have gathered an impressive following of fans & they hope to improve on this widespread success throughout the next few years.
Earlier this year the band recorded with legendary local producer John Kettle who has recorded many bands from Moco to The V.C’s at Jaraf House Studios. The band has also released a video for brand new single Best Days filmed by Kris Clark. Although young and currently unsigned, the lads have a great talent and hope to extend the ever growing fan base.
