The Clash are one of rock and roll's seminal bands, and a group that some value to be the greatest of all time. Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon were responsible for creating politicised punk rock and influencing a generation of future bands. Their self-titled debut album brought them recognition but it was their third album, 'London Calling', that saw them propelled to huge popularity. Songs such as 'London Calling', 'Remote Control', Should I Stay Or Should I Go', 'I Fought The Law' and 'Bankrobber', cement The Clash's place in rock royalty. Throughout their career they experimented with a variety of musical genres including reggae, ska, funk and rockabilly, but always featured punk undertones and leftist political messages.
