Solomon Arcade
"A sound uniqueness..."
Solomon Arcade are a newly formed alternative rock band from West Yorkshire.
The band members were brought together by the guitarist, Neil Boulton, who wanted to start a new project writing original music. Neil found flamboyant vocalist Johnny Vulcan through an online ad and, after discussing their requirements, went on to find bassist Dan Old from the same site. In need of a drummer, Neil looked to his old college friend Adam Cox, who was perfect for the project. After their first meeting in Leeds Railway Station's Wetherspoons to discuss ideas, they couldn't wait to get started.
At their first rehearsal the band began to think of possible names. JV (vocals) brought a list of names with him and each picked four of their favourites, wrote them down on a piece of paper and narrowed down from fifty-odd to just two. The band then left it to fate, 'other beings' and gravity to pick their name by flipping a coin. 'Solomon Arcade' was the outcome.
Watch this space and watch out for Solomon Arcade, your new favourite band.
