Shadows Fall are a heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts. They were formed in 1995 by guitarists Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand. The remainder of the group consist of Brian Fair on vocals, Paul Romanko on bass and Jason Bittner on drums, though the band have experienced many line-up changes over the years. The band have released five studio albums in their time, the most successful being 'The Art of Balance' in 2002. Shadows Fall have picked up two Grammy awards, both of them for 'Best Metal Performance. In 2006 they received the accolade for 'What Drives the Weak' and in 2008 it was for 'Redemption'.
