Saevio
"Alternative ground-breaking rock"
With a shared passion for music, school friends Mathew Jones, Will Lench and Tim Johnson felt that their combined talent and self-belief could make a significant impact on the music scene. Inspired by Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine and Primal Scream, they formed an incendiary alternative rock band, even now making a lasting impression on all who see and hear them. So, in March 2007, Saevio (to take violent action) arose to take out the ubiquitous rock pretenders, to make music as it should be - bold, original, driven and sexy. With all the dandy and swagger of the accomplished front man, Mathews’ distinctive, edgy vocals are suited to lyrics inspired by his battlefield of experiences. Sung against the backdrop of Tims’ loud and blistering guitar riffs and cemented together by Wills’ tight, versatile and steady rhythm section, every aspect of their sound is riddled with raw energy, imprinting itself on their listeners and growing fan base. Just three months later, the guys rocked The Standard Music Venue in their native East London and electrified the audience with their uniquely styled alternative sound. Since then Saevio have rocked the foundations of every venue they have graced, including the legendary Camden Underworld and Half Moon Putney. The band recently released their first demo EP 'Way Out'. The five tracks are 'No Time', a timeless classic in the making, “Rock and Roll”, “Take it”, the effervescent 'Stone'' and 'Free'. Saevio are the very epitome of the spirited talent bubbling under the mainstay of the rock scene. This is just the beginning.
