Queens English influences

say something, go on, you know you want to..
Queens English
"turn them crowns upside down..."
We're a hip hop crew now residing in the big bad LDN after making the inevitable step here to continue progressing and getting in amongst the action. Before then we were in Leeds where we all met at uni; before then we stretched as far afield as Dorset to Manchester to Iran.
Essentially, we make Hip Hop but if only things were that simple... Our dream is to change the face of modern music in the UK, to strip down the current music scene to its purest form and transform peoples perceptions of what hip hop is, was, and can be. In short - to create a movement for us all to revel in, to be a part of, to experience, enjoy, love and appreciate.

WELCOME TO QUEENS ENGLISH

If you’ve not heard of us before then buckle your seatbelt, you’re in for a treat. If you have, then there's a slim chance you just can't wait to hear more...

Let me tell you a little bit about the ‘Queens’!

We're 6 piece crew comprising of DJ, Mr SomethingElse, beatboxer and party specialist Pikey Esquire, the beautifully voiced female vocalist Source and the three founders of the group, rappers Sherlock, Mr Chips and Leon Rhymes.
To us music is an artform, a form of passion, a way of expressing yourself through infinite paths of creativity, a way in which to connect with people, speak to people and spread a message.
We aim to become the definitive act in UK hop hop history by taking hip hop to the masses and crushing stereotypes that currently exist within the mainstream. As a group, we aim to move beyond the stereotyping that is often used to keep UK hip hop underground, and take the genre forward in a positive and far-reaching way. We seek to smash through the perception that "British" and "Rap" are contradictions in terms and prove that delivering rap in English is indeed authentic.
